External CD player for Velar 2019-2026

The Pro Star USB CD player adds disc playback to Range Rover Velar models from 2019 to 2026 that left the factory without a built-in drive. It connects directly to the vehicle USB port and is powered from the same connection.

USB port bandwidth and indexing time

The unit relies on the car USB port for both data and power, so playback starts only after the port enumerates the device. The manufacturer highlights a mandatory two-minute indexing period for each new disc; interrupting it requires restarting the full setup sequence with a different CD.

Factory steering-wheel control integration

Music tracks are navigated through the original radio interface or steering-wheel buttons, so no extra remote or dashboard cutout is needed. The device mounts vertically or horizontally anywhere the USB cable reaches, making it suitable only for owners who want OEM-style control of physical discs.

Questions about this item

Is this the only version for my 2019-2026 Range Rover Velar?

Yes, the Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player is offered as a single model that fits the 2019-2026 Velar range; there are no alternative capacities or trim-specific variants listed.

How does the CarPlay integration work once the unit is plugged into the factory USB port?

After plugging the CD player into the vehicle USB port, wait about two minutes for the disc to finish indexing, then control playback using the factory radio or steering-wheel buttons through the existing CarPlay interface.

What does the USB connection actually provide for power and data?

The cable draws power from the car USB port and carries the CD audio data to the head unit so CarPlay can recognise the disc and play it through the factory system.
