Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet 2019-2026 CD player

The Pro Star USB CD player adds disc playback to 2019-2026 Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet models that lack a factory unit. It connects directly to the vehicle USB port and integrates with CarPlay so the factory radio or steering wheel controls manage playback. No extra wiring or tools are required for installation.

Sustained playback behaviour

After a disc is inserted the unit indexes the content for about two minutes before playback begins. Interrupting this process means restarting the procedure with a different disc and repeating the full setup steps. Once indexed the player draws power from the USB port and continues operating without further delays.

Pre-installation checks

Verify that your Beetle Cabriolet was built between 2019 and 2026 and that a USB port is accessible for the cable. Choose a mounting location such as the centre console or glove box where the cable reaches the port without strain. Keep the printed instructions handy to follow the indexing sequence exactly.

Questions about this item

Does the USB-powered CD player generate noticeable heat or noise when running continuously on long drives?

The unit draws power only from the vehicle USB port and has no internal fan, so heat and mechanical noise remain minimal during extended use.

What must the Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet already have for this Pro Star CD player to function?

A factory USB port is required; the player plugs directly into that port with no extra wiring or tools.

Will the 2019-2026 Beetle Cabriolet's original radio and steering-wheel buttons control this add-on CD player?

Yes, track selection and playback are handled through the factory radio interface and steering-wheel controls once the USB CD player is connected.
