Pro Star USB CD Player for Volkswagen ID.4

This Pro Star add-on unit brings CD playback to Volkswagen ID.4 models from 2019 through 2026. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and integrates with the factory CarPlay system. No extra wiring or tools are required for installation, and the device draws power from the USB connection.

Suits drivers who want physical media access

The player is aimed at owners who still use audio CDs and whose factory infotainment lacks a built-in drive. It mounts vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or wherever the USB cable reaches. Buyers whose vehicles do not support CarPlay over USB or who need Bluetooth streaming should consider other solutions.

Single-disc capacity with CarPlay indexing

The unit handles one standard audio CD at a time and indexes the disc through the CarPlay interface. The supplier notes that indexing takes about two minutes and must finish uninterrupted; otherwise the process must be restarted with a different disc. There is no internal storage or multi-disc changer function.
