Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player 2023-2026 Toyota

This Pro Star external CD player adds disc playback to 2023 to 2026 Toyota Crown models that lack a factory unit. It connects through the vehicle USB port and integrates with Apple CarPlay so the factory radio or steering wheel buttons control music. The device is powered entirely by the USB connection and can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console or in the glove box.

Compatibility and installation checks

Confirm that your Crown is within the 2023 to 2026 model range and has a functional USB port able to supply power and data. Ensure the chosen mounting location allows the cable to reach the port without strain. Plan for the mandatory two minute indexing period after inserting the first disc; interrupting this process requires restarting the full setup with a different CD.

Sustained use behaviour

Once indexing finishes the player streams audio continuously through the CarPlay interface without further delays. USB power keeps the mechanism running for the duration of each journey and the fixed cable connection avoids intermittent contact. The lack of moving mounting parts means vibration from extended driving does not affect playback stability.
