Pro Star USB CD Player for Audi A6

The Pro Star USB CD player adds a single-disc drive to 2019 to 2026 Audi A6 models that no longer include a factory CD slot. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and draws power from the same connection. No extra wiring or tools are required for installation. The unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console or in the glove box.

Sustained playback and indexing behaviour

After inserting a disc the player indexes the content for about two minutes before it is ready for use. Interrupting this process means the installation steps must be repeated from the beginning with a different disc. Once indexed, playback is controlled through the factory radio or steering wheel controls. The USB power supply maintains operation for long journeys without a separate power adapter.

Replaces missing factory CD player

This device restores CD listening for owners whose 2019 to 2026 Audi A6 left the factory without an optical drive. It is not a solution for vehicles that already have a working CD player or for buyers who need multi-disc changers or DVD playback. The upgrade is worthwhile when the only missing feature is single-disc CD audio through the original infotainment system.

Questions about this item

Does the USB-powered CD player generate noticeable heat or noise during long drives?

The unit draws power from the car's USB port and has no internal fan, so it runs silently and stays cool during extended use.

What must my Audi A6 already have for this player to work?

Your 2019-2026 Audi A6 needs a functional USB port and factory radio or steering-wheel controls to operate the CD player.

Will the CD player integrate with the existing MMI system in my 2019-2026 Audi A6?

Yes, it connects through the USB port and lets you control playback using the car's original radio or steering-wheel buttons.
