Compatible BMW iX model years

The Pro Star USB CD Player is an aftermarket head-unit accessory built for 2019 to 2026 BMW iX models that left the factory without a disc drive. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and draws power from that same connection.

Who this suits and who it does not

Owners who want to play physical CDs through the factory audio system and control playback with the existing radio or steering-wheel buttons will find it a direct fit. It is not for buyers whose vehicle lacks a USB port, for those who need a multi-disc changer, or for anyone expecting built-in Bluetooth streaming from the unit itself.

Deciding specification

The sole specification that determines fitment is the model-year range of 2019 through 2026 for the BMW iX; if the vehicle falls outside that window the player will not work.

Questions about this item

Does the Pro Star USB CD Player need a USB port in my 2019-2026 BMW iX to operate?

Yes, the unit draws power and communicates through the vehicle's USB port; no separate wiring or external power supply is required.

Will the Pro Star USB CD Player let me keep using my BMW iX factory radio and steering-wheel buttons for playback?

The device is designed so that track selection, volume and other functions remain controllable from the original radio and steering-wheel controls.

How do I know the Pro Star USB CD Player has finished indexing a disc and is ready to play?

Wait the full two minutes after inserting a CD; once indexing completes the factory display will show track information and the steering-wheel controls will respond.
