Pro Star USB CD Player for Genesis G80

The Pro Star USB CD Player adds a single-disc drive to Genesis G80 models from 2019 through 2026 that lack a factory CD slot. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and draws power from that same connection. Installation requires no extra wiring or tools, and the unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally wherever the cable reaches.

Sustained playback and indexing behaviour

After inserting a disc the system needs roughly two minutes to finish indexing before the installation is complete. Interrupting that process forces a full restart of the setup routine with a different disc. Once indexed, playback continues steadily from the factory head unit or steering wheel controls without further delays.

Thermals noise and power draw

The device is powered entirely through the car's USB port, so its electrical load stays within the port's standard supply limits. No cooling fan or active thermal management is present, meaning operation is silent. The compact enclosure produces no measurable heat during normal use.

Will the Pro Star CD player work with the existing steering wheel audio controls on my 2019-2026 Genesis G80?

Yes, the device is designed to let you control music playback through the factory radio or steering wheel buttons.
