Pro Star USB CD Player for 2019-2026 Honda Insight

This external CD player adds disc playback to Honda Insight models from 2019 through 2026 that lack a factory unit. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and draws power from that same connection. The device is controlled using the car's original radio or steering wheel buttons.

USB Port Interface Limits

The player relies on the car's USB port for both data and power, so the port must supply enough current for the drive mechanism. Operation begins only after the disc finishes indexing, which takes about two minutes; interrupting this process requires restarting the setup with a different disc. No Bluetooth audio streaming or CarPlay integration is provided by the unit itself.

Pre-Installation Checks

Confirm the Insight has an accessible USB port that remains powered when the ignition is on. Verify there is space on the console or in the glove box to mount the player where its cable can reach the port. Ensure you can wait for the full indexing period before using the system.

Questions about this item

Does this Pro Star CD player fit every 2019-2026 Honda Insight trim?

It is designed for the 2019-2026 Honda Insight and plugs into the factory USB port, so trim differences that keep the same port should not affect fit.

How does the player sound through the car's own speakers once it is plugged in?

Audio is routed through the factory radio, so music plays over the vehicle's original speaker system at the same volume and quality as other USB sources.

What does the USB connection actually limit when I use the player?

The USB port supplies power and carries the audio signal, so the player works only while the vehicle's USB port is active and the cable can reach it.
