Add External CD Playback for 2019-2026 Infiniti QX50

This Pro Star USB CD player adds a single-disc drive to Infiniti QX50 models from 2019 through 2026 that lack a factory CD slot. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and draws power from that connection. The unit is designed for owners who still listen to physical discs and want a simple, vehicle-specific solution.

Plug-and-Play Installation

The package includes a printed instruction manual that guides the user through a setup process requiring roughly 50 minutes for the CD to finish indexing before use. Once configured, the factory radio and steering wheel buttons control playback, so no separate remote or app is needed. The USB cable carries both data and power, eliminating extra wiring.

Flexible Mounting on Center Console or Glove Box

The compact drive can be positioned vertically or horizontally on the center console, inside the glove box, or anywhere the supplied USB cable reaches the port. Because it relies on the car's existing USB socket, there are no additional brackets, adhesives or power adapters to manage. The fixed cable length determines the practical mounting locations.

Questions about this item

How long does the CD indexing take before the player is ready to use?

The manual states to allow two minutes for the CD to finish indexing during installation; interrupting this process means restarting from step one with a different disc.

What is the only power source the unit draws from in the vehicle?

It is powered entirely through the car’s USB port, so the USB supply is the limiting factor for sustained operation.

Does the player generate noticeable heat or fan noise when running continuously?

The device has no internal fan and draws only low USB power, so it produces minimal heat and operates silently during all-day use.
