Compatible Years

The Pro Star USB CD Player is designed for Lincoln MKT models produced between 2019 and 2026. It addresses the absence of a factory-installed disc drive in these vehicles. Owners who still rely on physical media can restore playback capability without altering the original dashboard or infotainment system.

Plug-and-Play Integration

The unit draws power and communicates through the vehicle's existing USB port, requiring no additional wiring, adapters, or tools. It mounts vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or any reachable location. Music is controlled using the factory radio interface or steering wheel buttons, preserving the driver's familiar workflow.

Replaces Missing Factory Hardware

This device adds back the CD playback function that the manufacturer omitted from the vehicle. The upgrade is worthwhile for drivers who maintain a CD library and want direct access through the original audio controls. It is not suited for buyers who only stream audio or need support for DVD video or other disc formats.

Questions about this item

How long must the CD index before the player is ready for sustained use?

The instructions require a full two minutes for the disc to finish indexing; interrupting that process means starting over with a different disc.

Does the unit generate noticeable heat or fan noise when powered continuously from the vehicle USB port?

The player draws power directly from the car's USB port with no internal fan, so it runs silently and stays cool during all-day operation.

Which factory feature must the Lincoln MKT already have for this CD player to function?

The vehicle must be equipped with a functional USB port that the player can plug into for both power and data.
