External CD Player for 2019-2026 Nissan Qashqai

This Pro Star USB CD player adds disc playback to Qashqai models from 2019 through 2026 that lack a factory CD drive. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and is powered from that same connection. The unit is controlled using the car's original radio or steering-wheel buttons.

Plug-and-play thermal and power profile

Because the device draws its power from the car's USB port, it operates within the port's standard current limit and produces no noticeable heat inside the cabin. There are no moving cooling parts, so the unit runs silently during normal playback.

Sustained operation behaviour

During extended listening sessions the player continues to draw a steady, low current from the USB supply without overheating. The mechanism indexes each disc for about two minutes at start-up, after which playback remains stable for the duration of the journey.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Pro Star USB CD Player in my 2019-2026 Nissan Qashqai, and what is the critical step people miss?

Plug the USB cable into the vehicle's USB port, then wait two minutes for the CD to finish indexing before using the unit; interrupting this process forces a full restart with a different disc.

What maintenance or replacement will the Pro Star USB CD Player need over time?

The unit has no user-serviceable parts; keep the lens clean with a standard CD cleaner disc and ensure the USB cable remains undamaged for reliable power and data connection.

What limit appears first during extended use of the Pro Star USB CD Player?

Continuous operation is limited by the vehicle USB port's power output; if the port cannot supply sufficient current, playback may stop or the unit may reset until the port cools or load reduces.
