Pro Star USB CD Player for 2019-2026 Volkswagen

This external CD player adds disc playback to Jetta models that lack a factory unit. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port for a plug-and-play installation that requires no extra wiring or tools. The device is designed specifically for 2019 through 2026 Volkswagen Jetta vehicles.

Sustained playback and indexing behaviour

The unit reads standard audio CDs and indexes each disc before playback begins. The manufacturer advises allowing two minutes for the indexing process to complete without interruption. If indexing is halted early, the user must insert a different disc and restart the setup procedure from the first step.

Thermals noise and power draw

The player draws power solely from the car's USB port, so it adds no separate electrical load to the vehicle system. With no internal fan or moving parts beyond the disc mechanism, it operates silently during normal use. The compact chassis can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console or in the glove box.

Questions about this item

Does the USB-powered CD player draw enough current to noticeably affect the Jetta's USB port during all-day drives?

It draws power directly from the vehicle's USB port with no external supply needed, so the port must supply the player's operating current continuously.

What factory feature must the 2019-2026 Jetta already have for this Pro Star unit to function?

The car needs a working USB port that the player's cable can reach, because the device plugs into that port for both power and data.

Will steering-wheel audio controls on a 2019-2026 Jetta still operate the CD player after it is plugged in?

Yes, the player is designed so that the factory radio and steering-wheel controls continue to manage playback once the USB connection is made.
