Peacock Blue Colour Gel
The Profoto OCF II Gel in Peacock Blue is a colour-correction filter made for Profoto off-camera flash units. It lets photographers add a saturated blue tone to their lighting for creative or corrective purposes. The gel is built to survive repeated professional use in studio or location environments.
Designed for Profoto A1 Integration
The gel fits the Profoto A1 flash head directly, so no separate holder or adhesive is required. This dedicated fit keeps the filter flat against the light source, preserving output quality and preventing colour shifts caused by gaps or warping. Photographers can swap gels quickly during a shoot without tools.
Single-Use Colour Limitation
Each gel provides only the fixed Peacock Blue hue; it cannot be adjusted for density or mixed with other colours unless additional gels are purchased and stacked. Stacking multiple gels reduces flash output and may alter the intended colour balance. The filter does not modify colour temperature in a measurable kelvin value.

Questions about this item
How often will the Peacock Blue gel need replacing under regular professional use?
The gel is built with durable materials rated for repeated professional sessions; lifespan depends on handling and heat exposure from the Profoto A1 flash rather than a fixed schedule.
What is the first limit reached when the gel is used continuously on a Profoto A1 flash?
Heat buildup from the flash head is the primary constraint; the gel tolerates normal operating temperatures but prolonged maximum-power bursts can degrade color fidelity faster.
Does the Peacock Blue gel affect the flash head temperature or cooling when shooting all day?
The thin polycarbonate sheet adds negligible thermal resistance, so the Profoto A1 cooling performance remains unchanged during extended use.
