Targeted Compatibility

This ceiling mount is engineered exclusively for Sony VPL-EX455, VPL-EX570 and VPL-EX575 projectors. The CNC-machined mounting plate ensures precise fitment without covering vents needed for heat dissipation. Buyers with any other projector model, including different Sony series, cannot use this mount.

Sustained Installation Stability

Built from 100% 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, the mount resists fatigue during permanent ceiling suspension. It positions the projector roughly 5 inches from the ceiling surface and is rated for drywall or wooden beam attachment only. The design is not intended for drop or false ceiling grids.

Mechanical Range Limits

The joint provides 360-degree rotation plus pitch and roll adjustment up to 80 degrees off centre in any direction. This range defines the maximum angular correction available for image alignment. Installers needing greater offset or a different ceiling interface must select an alternative mounting system.

Questions about this item

How much heat can escape around the mount when the Sony VPL-EX455 runs all day?

The CNC-machined plate uses minimal coverage and leaves adequate space for heat to escape, keeping airflow around the projector unrestricted.

What ceiling structure must I already have to install this mount?

You need a drywall ceiling or a wooden beam; the included hardware and instructions are designed for those surfaces only.

Will the fixed 5-inch drop still let me aim the Sony VPL-EX575 image where I need it?

Yes, the mount rotates 360 degrees and tilts ±80 degrees, so you can pitch and roll the projector to the desired angle despite the set extension.
