1/87 Scale Chemical Tanker Trailer

This Promotex model replicates a three-axle chemical tanker in silver at 1/87 (HO) scale. It is intended for adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts who value officially licensed, true-to-scale detail. The kit arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging.

Plastic Model Assembly Constraints

The trailer features a detailed interior and exterior but does not have any functional openings. Some simple assembly is required to complete the model. Builders seeking a fully finished, ready-to-display item or models with moving parts should look elsewhere.

Straightforward Kit Construction

Assembly involves fitting the supplied plastic components together to form the finished trailer approximately 6.125 inches long. The process is generally straightforward for modellers with basic tools. Difficulty may arise if small parts are lost during handling or if alignment of the tanker body and chassis proves tricky.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 1/87 scale version for my HO layout?

Yes — the model is built to 1/87 scale so it matches standard HO track and rolling stock dimensions.

How long will the tanker trailer be once assembled on my layout?

The finished model measures approximately 6.125 inches long, fitting typical HO freight-car lengths.

Does the plastic kit snap together or need cement for the 1/87 scale parts?

Some simple assembly is required; the parts are designed for standard plastic cement rather than snap-fit connections.
