Scale model for collectors

This Promotex lowboy trailer is a 1/87 scale plastic model designed for adult hobbyists and collectors. It arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging and is an officially licensed product. The white finish and true-to-scale detail replicate a 3-axle heavy equipment trailer. The model measures approximately 8.125 inches in length.

Fixed display piece

The trailer has no openings and features detailed interior and exterior mouldings intended for static display. As a single plastic unit, it requires no assembly and is ready to place on a layout or shelf immediately. The sealed box preserves the model in brand new condition for collectors who value original packaging.

Suited for HO scale dioramas

This item fits model railroaders building 1/87 scale scenes who need a realistic heavy-haul trailer. Buyers looking for a kit to build, a model with moving parts such as ramps or steering, or a different scale will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Will the plastic wheels or axles on this 1/87 scale trailer need replacement after regular display handling?

The model is a static plastic collectible with no moving drivetrain, so wheels and axles do not wear out under normal display use.

What is the first limitation you hit when keeping this 8.125-inch lowboy on a shelf long term?

The main limit is shelf depth — at 8.125 inches long the trailer needs a stable, dust-free surface rather than any mechanical constraint.

Does the white Promotex trailer generate any heat or noise when left out all day?

No — it is an unpowered plastic scale model, so it produces zero heat and zero noise regardless of how long it is displayed.
