HO Scale Container Chassis

This 1/87 scale plastic model replicates a 48ft container chassis on a 2-axle frame. It measures 6.625 inches long and arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging. The kit features detailed interior and exterior surfaces with true-to-scale proportions. Some simple assembly is required before display.

Collectors and Diorama Builders

The officially licensed model suits hobbyists who want an accurate HO scale trailer for freight scenes or static displays. It does not have any openings, so builders who need functional doors or removable loads should look at something else. The unisex adult designation makes it appropriate for mature collectors rather than young children.

Simple Assembly Required

Because the model has no openings, aligning the body panels during assembly is the main step where fit issues can appear. The brand new box contains all parts in the manufacturer's original packaging.

Questions about this item

Do I need a separate tractor unit to pull this 1/87 scale chassis?

Yes, the chassis is a trailer only and requires a compatible HO-scale tractor to operate on a layout.

Will the 6.625-inch length match my existing HO rolling stock?

The model is built to true 1/87 proportions, so it aligns with standard HO freight cars and containers.

How can I confirm the model is correctly assembled?

Check that all detail parts fit flush, the chassis sits level on its wheels and the overall length measures about 6.625 inches.
