5.5 Inch Detailed Replica

The model measures approximately 5.5 inches long and features detailed interior and exterior surfaces. It is an officially licensed product with true-to-scale proportions. The trailer has no functional openings and some simple assembly is required before display.

1/87 Scale Limitations

At 1/87 scale the trailer is sized for standard HO gauge layouts and display cabinets. Collectors needing larger scales or operational features such as opening hatches will find this model does not meet those requirements.

Questions about this item

Will the 1/87 scale trailer couple reliably with my existing HO rolling stock?

The model is built to 1/87 (HO) scale, so standard HO couplers and track geometry will match; test the coupler height on your layout before permanent installation.

How can I confirm the trailer sits level and rolls freely once assembled?

After the simple assembly, place the 5.5 inch long trailer on a section of HO track; it should roll without binding and the tank body should sit parallel to the rails.

Does the box include glue, paint or a tractor unit, or must I supply them?

The package contains only the unassembled white plastic trailer parts in the original sealed box; adhesive, paint and a tractor are not included and must be purchased separately.
