1/87 HO scale Goldhofer trailer wheelsets

This Promotex set supplies twelve complete wheelset assemblies in 1/87 HO scale. Each assembly combines wheels, tires and axles into a single detailed unit. The officially licensed models arrive in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging. They are intended for adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts seeking accurate rolling stock detail.

48 wheels, 48 tires and 12 axles

The box contains forty-eight individual wheels paired with forty-eight tires and twelve axles. That quantity fits a typical multi-axle Goldhofer trailer configuration in HO scale. Builders needing additional axles for longer trailer trains will require extra sets. The parts are moulded in plastic and supplied unpainted.

0.375-inch wheel diameter

Every wheel measures approximately 0.375 inches across, matching prototype dimensions at 1/87 scale. This diameter determines whether the wheelsets clear your layout's trackwork and axleboxes. Check the clearance on your specific trailer chassis before purchasing. No other dimensions or material specifications are provided by the manufacturer.

Questions about this item

Will these 1/87 scale wheelsets match the axle spacing on my existing HO rolling stock?

Each wheelset uses a standard HO axle; the 0.375 inch wheel diameter matches typical HO track gauge so they couple directly to most 1/87 rolling stock.

How can I confirm the 48 wheels, 48 tires and 12 axles are all seated correctly after assembly?

Press each wheel onto its axle until it clicks, then roll the completed bogie on a flat HO track section — smooth, wobble-free travel shows everything is aligned.

The box lists 12 sets; do I need to buy separate couplers or brake detail parts to finish a Goldhofer trailer?

The package supplies only wheels, tires and axles; couplers, brake rigging and any chassis details are sold separately.
