37mm UV filter for outdoor photography

The ProOPTIC 37mm Multi-Coated UV Slim Filter blocks most solar ultraviolet light to reduce haze and improve detail in landscape shots. It also acts as a physical barrier that protects the front element from dirt, dust and moisture. Multi-coatings deliver 99% transmission while suppressing flare and ghosting for higher contrast and colour fidelity.

Check thread size and vignetting risk

Verify that your lens has a 37mm filter thread before ordering. The slim frame is designed to minimise vignetting on wide-angle lenses, but confirm compatibility with your specific focal length to avoid corner darkening. Ensure no existing filter is already mounted, as stacking can increase vignetting and degrade image quality.

Slim multi-coated construction

The ultra-thin profile keeps the filter close to the lens barrel, reducing the chance of vignetting on wide-angle optics. Multi-coated glass maintains 99% light transmission while cutting reflections that cause flare. The durable frame withstands regular outdoor use and the filter can remain mounted as permanent front-element protection.

Questions about this item

Does the ProOPTIC 37mm UV Slim Filter include a case or caps, or must they be purchased separately?

The filter ships alone; no case or caps are mentioned in the product details, so plan to buy protective accessories separately if needed.

Should I choose this 37mm filter over a different diameter for my lens?

Select the 37mm version only when your lens barrel or existing filter thread is marked 37mm; any other diameter will not fit.

What does the 99% transmission figure mean when the filter is on my camera?

It means 99% of visible light passes through the multi-coated glass, so exposure stays virtually unchanged while UV haze is blocked.
