Audio routing for stereo systems

The PROZOR VC471LNK is a passive RCA switch that lets you choose between two stereo sources and send the signal to one output, or take a single source and route it to two different outputs. It needs no external power, so installation is simply a matter of connecting standard RCA cables and pressing the selector.

Passive operation means silent running

Because the unit draws no power and contains no active electronics, it adds no noise, heat or signal degradation to the audio path. The 1.5 metre cable allowance on both input and output sides gives flexibility for typical desktop or rack layouts, and the mute button cuts the signal instantly without introducing pops.

Two-in-one-out or one-in-two-out switching

The rotary selector provides bi-directional routing for left and right channels, but it only handles a single stereo pair at a time. Buyers who need to mix multiple sources simultaneously or switch more than two inputs will need a different device.

Questions about this item

How do I install the PROZOR VC471LNK RCA switch and what step do people often miss?

Connect up to two source devices to the input RCA ports and your amplifier or speakers to the output ports using standard cables; the step often missed is ensuring each left and right channel is firmly seated on the correct colour-coded jack to avoid channel reversal.

What maintenance or replacement will the PROZOR VC471LNK need over time?

The passive mechanical switch and gold-plated RCA contacts require no scheduled maintenance; if signal crackle appears after years of use, a quick spray of contact cleaner on the jacks and rotary selector usually restores clean switching.

What is the first limit I will hit when using the PROZOR VC471LNK continuously?

The 1.5 metre cable length and 8 metre maximum transmission distance for both input and output runs are the practical limits; beyond that, signal attenuation or hum may appear before any internal component fails.
