Retro Radio with Three Bands

The PRUNUS J-120 is a portable AM FM SW radio styled like a 1950s set. It runs on rechargeable battery power or plugs into a wall outlet for continuous use. Two large rotary knobs control volume and tuning, and a glowing dial adds vintage charm. It suits listeners who want simple operation and classic looks.

Reception Range and Battery Life

The tuner covers FM 87-108 MHz, AM 522-1620 kHz and SW 5.9-18.0 MHz with a USA-made DSP chip. A 16.6 inch 360-degree rotary antenna pulls in weak and distant stations. Bluetooth streaming fills a room with clear, balanced sound. Battery operation supports outdoor and emergency use when mains power is unavailable.

Upgrade from Basic Mono Radios

This replaces single-band portables that lack shortwave coverage or stable DSP tuning. The jump is worth it when you need three bands, a long rotating antenna and Bluetooth in one wooden-finish cabinet. It is not for buyers who want stereo separation, a digital frequency display or a line-level audio output.

Questions about this item

Will the J-120's 16.6 in rotary antenna still pick up AM 522-1620 kHz stations if I keep it near my vintage tube amplifier?

The 360-degree rotary antenna is designed for stable reception of weak signals across AM, FM 87-108 MHz and SW 5.9-18.0 MHz bands, and the DSP chip improves sensitivity regardless of nearby equipment.

How can I confirm the Bluetooth speaker is paired and playing audio correctly on the J-120?

After pairing your phone, use the large volume knob to adjust output; clear, well-balanced sound filling the room indicates the connection is working as intended.

Does the J-120 come with a power adapter or must I supply my own batteries for portable use?

The radio operates on its built-in rechargeable battery or can be plugged into a wall outlet; no separate batteries or adapter purchase is required.
