PSC Lavalier Power Supply Barrel Adapter TB5M 2-Wire Positive Bias

Universal Lavalier Power Adapter

The PSC TB5M 2-Wire Positive Bias adapter connects lavalier microphones to mixers and recorders that provide condenser microphone powering. It converts 12T, 12PH, or 48PH phantom power down to the voltage required by most lavalier capsules. The compact barrel design suits mobile recording rigs and fixed studio installations alike.

Sustained Session Reliability

During long recording sessions the adapter maintains a steady voltage conversion without drift or intermittent contact. Its hard-wired construction avoids the loose connections that can develop with plug-in alternatives over hours of use. The robust housing protects the internal circuitry from cable strain and accidental knocks.

Thermals, Noise and Power Draw

The passive circuit draws only the phantom current supplied by the mixer or recorder, adding no audible self-noise to the signal chain. No active components generate heat, so the barrel remains at ambient temperature even during continuous operation. Power consumption is limited to the microphone's own requirements.
