Marine stereo speakers for open-cockpit craft

A pair of 5.25-inch two-way drivers built for boats, personal watercraft and off-road vehicles where water and sun are constant. The white finish and integrated grille suit open dashboards and exposed mounting locations.

Power handling and impedance limits

Continuous rating is 50 watts RMS with a 100-watt peak capability into a 4-ohm load. Frequency response spans 100 Hz to 18 kHz, so a separate subwoofer is needed for deep bass and an amplifier must be stable at the stated impedance.

UV-resistant construction and shallow mounting

Polypropylene cones with cloth surrounds and moulded ABS baskets resist salt spray and prolonged sun exposure. Mounting depth is only 1.37 inches with a 4.92-inch cut-out, allowing fitment in thin panels, though the fixed grille prevents driver-level servicing.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 5.25-inch or 6.5-inch version for my boat?

The 5.25-inch model fits a 4.92-inch cut-out and 1.37-inch mounting depth, while the 6.5-inch versions need a larger opening and weigh 3.83 lbs each compared to 2.47 lbs for the 5.25-inch pair.

What does the 100-watt peak rating mean when I am on the water?

The speakers deliver 50 watts RMS continuous power and handle 100 watts peak, so they play loudly and cleanly at cruising volume without distortion from a typical marine head unit.

How does the 4-ohm impedance affect wiring to my marine amplifier?

At 4 ohms each, a pair can be wired in parallel for a 2-ohm load or in series for 8 ohms, matching most marine amplifiers’ stable impedance range.
