8″ Marine Wakeboard Bluetooth Speaker

The Pyle PLMRWKBT85BK is an 8″ marine-grade speaker designed for wakeboard towers and outdoor installations. It delivers 300 W peak power and 150 W RMS through an 8″ woofer and 1″ titanium dome tweeter. Bluetooth 4.0 provides wireless streaming up to 30 feet. IP-44 water-resistant housing and corrosion-resistant ABS construction ensure durability in harsh marine environments.

Suits open-water riders; not for installed cabins

This unit suits boat owners and wakeboard enthusiasts who need a tower-mounted, weatherproof speaker with integrated LED lighting and simple Bluetooth playback. Buyers who require a multi-zone indoor audio system or a permanent helm-station installation with wired network control should look at a different product.

Bluetooth 4.0 wireless range 30+ feet

The single specification that decides fit is the Bluetooth 4.0 connection with a 30-plus-foot wireless range. If your helm or media source sits farther away, or if you need a newer Bluetooth version for aptX or multipoint pairing, this speaker will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the PLMRWKBT85BK include mounting brackets and hardware, or must they be purchased separately?

The speaker ships with the brackets and hardware needed for installation, so no extra mounting kit is required.

Should I choose the 300 W peak or the 150 W RMS figure when matching this speaker to an amplifier?

Use the 150 W RMS rating for continuous power matching; the 300 W peak is only a short-term maximum.

What does the IP-44 rating mean for real-world use on a boat or wakeboard tower?

IP-44 protects the speaker from splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for marine environments.
