20W Megaphone for Coaches and Safety Teams

The Pyle PMP20 is a 20 watt megaphone designed for coaches, safety officers, event organisers and cheerleaders who need portable voice amplification. Its ergonomic pistol grip and lightweight 1.5 lb chassis allow comfortable one-handed operation during indoor or outdoor activities. The unit projects sound up to 1000 yards in voice mode.

Siren Alert and Volume Control

A dedicated siren mode emits an amplified alert tone for emergency signalling or crowd control. Adjustable volume control lets the user match output to the environment while an off switch conserves battery life. The folding handle reduces the footprint for transport and storage.

Battery and Power Requirements

The megaphone requires four C-cell batteries (1.5 V each) which are not supplied with the unit. Verify you have a fresh set on hand before deployment. No external power adapter or charging circuit is included, so operation depends entirely on disposable cells.

Questions about this item

How often will the four C batteries need replacing during daily use?

The unit runs on four C cells and has a power-saving OFF switch to extend run time; battery life depends on volume level and how much the siren mode is used.

What limits continuous operation before the 20 W amplifier overheats?

The 20 watt output is rated for projection up to 1000 yards; sustained high-volume use will heat the chassis, so allow cooling breaks during long events.

How loud is the siren alert when the megaphone runs all day?

The siren mode produces a high-decibel alert tone through the same 20 watt driver; expect noticeable heat build-up after extended use.
