For Spot Heating Not Whole Rooms

This unit suits users who need gentle, directional heat for a patio seat or workbench and who do not require oscillation or remote control. Buyers who want higher output, multiple heat settings, programmable timing or tip-over protection should look at larger or more fully featured models.

Check Voltage And Mounting Space

Verify that a 120 V 5-15P outlet is available at the intended location and that the 15-by-22-inch panel has clear line-of-sight to the seating area. Ensure the mounting surface can support the heater and that local codes permit infrared panel use in the chosen spot.

Questions about this item

What voltage supply and plug type does the 170 W infrared panel require to operate?

The heater runs on 120 V AC single-phase power and comes with a NEMA 5-15P plug for a standard North American outlet.

How does the 170 W infrared output compare to the 580 BtuH rating when used alongside older, higher-wattage heaters?

At 170 W and 580 BtuH it provides supplemental spot heat; it will not replace a larger heater but can run on the same 15 A circuit if total load stays within the breaker limit.

How can I confirm the panel is heating correctly after I plug it in and flip the rocker switch?

The rocker switch powers the single heat setting; you should feel infrared warmth from the white panel within seconds and the overheat protection will only trip if airflow is blocked.
