8 Gb Dual-Port Fibre Channel HBA

This QLogic QLE2562-E host bus adapter provides two 8 Gb Fibre Channel ports on a PCIe x4 interface. It is designed for servers that need redundant or aggregated SAN connectivity through a standard-height bracket.

Standard bracket fits common server chassis

The card installs in any available PCIe x4 or wider slot with the included bracket. Servers limited to low-profile slots cannot use this bracket without a separate replacement. Dual-port cabling doubles the fibre count, so verify patch-panel density before deployment.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the QLE2562-E is operating at 8 Gb/s after installation?

Check the adapter status in the server BIOS or the QLogic management utility; the link speed should read 8 Gb/s for each of the two ports.

Does the QLE2562-E ship with both standard and low-profile brackets?

The card includes a standard-height bracket only; a low-profile bracket is not supplied and must be sourced separately if your chassis requires it.
