QNAP 2-Bay M.2 SATA Subsystem
The QDA-A2MAR is an internal RAID enclosure that accepts two M.2 SATA solid-state drives. It presents a single SATA 600 host connection and supports RAID 0, RAID 1 and JBOD modes. No drives are included with the unit.
Suits builders adding high-speed SATA storage
This subsystem fits systems with a spare SATA 600 port and room for an internal 2-bay module. It is not for setups that require more than two drives, external connectivity or a different host interface.
SATA 600 host interface decides compatibility
The enclosure connects through one SATA 600 cable, so the motherboard or controller must provide that exact port. Without a matching SATA 600 link the unit cannot function.

Questions about this item
How do I install the M.2 SATA drives and which step is most often missed?
Insert each M.2 SATA drive into an internal slot, secure it with the screw, then set the RAID mode to 0, 1 or JBOD before the operating system sees the volume.
What maintenance or replacement will the QDA-A2MAR need over time?
The enclosure itself has no moving parts; only the two M.2 SATA drives may eventually wear out and require replacement.
What limit appears first during sustained transfers on the SATA 600 host link?
The SATA 600 interface caps sustained throughput at 600 MB/s, so that bottleneck arrives before the drives reach their own limits.
