Purpose-built 24-bay NAS for enterprise teams

The Qnap TS-H2477AXU-RP-R7-32G-US is a 4U desktop NAS with 24 SATA drive bays and dual PCIe Gen 5 M.2 slots. It runs on an AMD Ryzen 7000 series 8-core 16-thread processor with 32GB DDR5 non-ECC memory. The QuTS hero OS provides WORM, ZFS deduplication, compression, and high-volume snapshots for data integrity.

Redundant power and multi-gigabit networking

Dual 550W redundant power supplies maintain uptime for mission-critical workloads. Dual 10GbE and dual 2.5GbE ports support fast multi-user file sharing and low-latency virtualization. PCIe expansion allows adding 25GbE adapters, GPUs, or storage cards. Compatible SAS and PCIe JBOD units enable long-term capacity growth.

Expandable memory and supported lifecycle simplify

Memory scales to 192GB DDR5 with ECC support for demanding multi-VM environments. The platform is supported until 2030, aiding enterprise IT infrastructure lifecycle management. Bundled QuTS hero features reduce storage overhead through deduplication and compression while protecting against data tampering with WORM.

Questions about this item

What is the first bottleneck when all 24 SATA bays and both PCIe Gen 5 M.2 slots are saturated with sustained writes?

The dual 10 GbE and dual 2.5 GbE network links become the throughput ceiling before the CPU or memory limits are reached.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 7000 series processor runs virtualization workloads continuously?

Redundant 550 W power supplies and server-grade cooling keep temperatures stable and fan noise consistent during 24/7 operation.

Which expansion cards must already be owned to add 25 GbE connectivity or GPU acceleration?

Any standard PCIe 25 GbE adapter or supported GPU fits the available Gen 5 slots for immediate capability upgrades.
