10GbE SFP+ transceiver for QNAP NAS

This 10GbE SFP+ transceiver module adds short-range fibre connectivity to compatible QNAP desktop NAS units. It is built around the Mellanox MFM1T02A-SR component and carries the MPN TRX-10GSFP-SR-MLX for ordering. The module is supplied new and plugs directly into an SFP+ cage on the NAS.

Excludes x85U and 16489U series models

The accessory works with SFP+ 10GbE ports on most QNAP systems but is not supported on the x85U series or the 16489U series. Buyers who need a transceiver for those specific series must select a different module. The package contains only the transceiver itself.

Questions about this item

Will the SFP+ transceiver need periodic cleaning or replacement under normal operation?

The transceiver has no moving parts and no consumable components, so no scheduled maintenance or replacement is required during its service life.

What is the first limitation encountered during sustained 10 GbE traffic through this module?

The module is specified for 10 GbE SFP+ links and is not compatible with x85U or 16489U series systems, which is the primary deployment constraint.
