Compact Powered PA for Small Venues
The QSC CP8 is a two-way 8-inch powered loudspeaker delivering 1000W of Class-D amplification for audiences up to 250 people. It integrates a 1.4-inch titanium compression driver and an 8-inch woofer in a portable 21 lb enclosure with integrated handles. Onboard DSP provides contour presets and a three-input mixer for quick setup by presenters, musicians and A/V providers.
Thermals Noise and Power Draw
The highly efficient Class-D amplifier runs cool during typical speech or background music levels, keeping fan noise low in quiet rooms. Continuous output reaches 124 dB SPL with a frequency response from 56 Hz to 20 kHz across 90-degree coverage. Dual combo XLR-1/4-inch inputs and a 3.5mm jack accept microphones, instruments and playback devices without external preamps.
Sustained Load Behaviour
Under continuous high-SPL operation the amplifier maintains clean headroom and consistent output without thermal compression. The proprietary waveguide preserves 90-degree horizontal coverage at distance, preventing hot spots during extended sets. The included tote protects the cabinet during transport between repeated deployments in houses of worship, conference centers and meeting rooms.

Questions about this item
How do I mount the CP8 on a speaker stand, and what step do people often miss?
Use the integrated pole-mount socket on the bottom of the enclosure, then tighten the stand's locking collar fully so the 21 lb cabinet cannot rotate or slide down during a show.
What maintenance will the CP8 need over time, and when?
Vacuum the front grille and rear vent slots every few months to keep airflow clear for the Class-D amp, and inspect the power cord for damage before each use; no user-serviceable parts are inside.
What limit appears first when I run the CP8 hard for a long set?
The built-in DSP limiter engages once output reaches 124 dB SPL, protecting the 1.4" compression driver and 8" woofer from thermal overload during sustained high-level playback.
