36-Inch Gray Steel Wire Shelf

The Quantum 1236GY wire shelf measures 12 inches deep by 36 inches wide and supports up to 600 lb per shelf. Its gray epoxy-coated steel construction meets NSF standards for cleanliness and corrosion resistance. The quick-adjust lever lets you reposition shelf heights without tools. It suits garages, workshops and commercial storage areas needing durable, ventilated shelving.

Fits Standard Uprights and Frees Floor Space

The shelf mounts on compatible Quantum uprights, so you need those posts to complete a unit. Once installed, the open-wire design promotes air circulation and prevents dust build-up on stored items. The 600 lb capacity handles heavy bins, tools or equipment without bowing. It does not serve buyers who need solid-top surfaces or enclosed cabinet storage.

Questions about this item

How much weight can the 1236GY shelf hold before it starts to bend?

The shelf is rated for 600 lb of evenly distributed load; exceeding that limit risks permanent deformation of the steel wires.

Does the epoxy finish on the 1236GY shelf get hot or noisy when the shelf is fully loaded all day?

The gray epoxy-coated steel is passive — it generates no heat and makes no noise regardless of how long the 600 lb load remains in place.
