Questions about this item

Should I use the optical or coaxial input for my Blu-ray player?

Use whichever digital output your Blu-ray player provides; the converter accepts both optical Toslink and coaxial S/PDIF and converts either to stereo analog RCA.

Will this converter drive my powered speakers directly?

It outputs line-level stereo RCA, so connect it to an amplifier or powered speakers with their own volume control; it does not have a built-in headphone amp or speaker-level output.
