Who These Glasses Protect

Rad Journey safety glasses deliver eye and face protection for workers who need impact-rated lenses in a lightweight, universal-fit frame. The wraparound, full-frame design shields from flying debris while the telescoping temples adjust to most head sizes. They are not for buyers who require foam-lined sealing, photochromic lenses or metal-detectable frames.

The Deciding Standard

The single specification that determines suitability is ANSI Z 87.1 + certification, confirming high-velocity impact resistance for industrial and construction tasks. Gray polycarbonate lenses block 99.9 percent UVA and UVB without polarization, preserving true colour perception. If your site mandates a different marking or polarised glare reduction, these glasses do not meet that requirement.

All-Day Wear Comfort

Nylon frames and polycarbonate lenses keep weight low so the glasses stay comfortable through a full shift. Scratch-resistant coating extends optical clarity without adding haze. Ventilation from the wraparound shape reduces fogging during moderate exertion, though no anti-fog treatment is specified. Telescoping temples let each user set a secure, pressure-free fit.

Questions about this item

How dark is the gray lens in everyday light?

The gray tint cuts glare while keeping colours natural, and the lenses block 99.9 percent of UVA and UVB rays for outdoor work.

What does the ANSI Z 87.1 + rating cover on these glasses?

The + mark means the lenses meet high-velocity impact requirements under ANSI Z 87.1, so they resist flying debris in industrial settings.

Will the telescoping temples fit a wide head without slipping?

The nylon frame has telescoping temples that slide to multiple lengths, and the wraparound full-frame design grips securely across universal sizing.
