Rain Bird 1/4" Barbed Couplings 10 Pack

This pack contains ten barbed couplings designed for drip irrigation systems. They join two lengths of 1/4" tubing or create a branch from 1/2" drip line. The fittings suit gardeners and installers building or repairing low-pressure watering networks.

60 psi pressure rating

Each coupling is rated for a maximum of 60 psi, which determines whether the part matches your system pressure. Exceeding this limit risks leaks or fitting failure. Verify your supply pressure before installation to ensure reliable, long-term performance.

Ten couplings per bag

The ten-pack provides enough fittings for multiple splices or several take-off points along a single zone. It covers small to medium layout changes comfortably. Larger projects with many junctions will require additional packs to complete the work.

Questions about this item

What does the 60 psi pressure rating mean when the couplings are installed in a drip system?

The 60 psi rating is the maximum operating pressure the barbed couplings can handle once connected to tubing; exceeding it risks leaks or blow-offs.

What tubing standards do the 1/4 inch barbed ends actually fit?

They connect 1/4 inch distribution tubing (1406-0040), 1/4 inch emitter tubing (1406-0164) or tap into the side of 1/2 inch tubing (1406-0032).

How much space should I allow for the barbed body and the tubing ends when planning the layout?

Each coupling adds a short barbed section between two 1/4 inch tube ends; allow enough slack so the tubing seats fully over the barbs without kinking.
