Computer interface module providing dual USB and HDMI connectivity for BIOS-level virtual media access up to 150 feet from the switch
The Raritan D2CIM-DVUSB-HDMI is a Computer Interface Module designed for the Dominion KX II KVM-over-IP system. It connects a target server to the switch using Cat5, Cat5e or Cat6 cabling up to 150 feet away. The module provides dual USB and HDMI connectivity for server management. It supports BIOS-level virtual media and advanced KVM features.
This module suits administrators managing servers equipped with HDMI video and USB ports. It enables remote BIOS access and virtual media mounting over IP. Builders whose servers only offer VGA, DisplayPort or DVI video outputs cannot use this CIM. Environments requiring longer cable runs than 150 feet must consider alternative extension methods.
The decisive specification is the combined HDMI video and dual USB interface on the server side. This determines compatibility with the target hardware. The module measures 29.0 centimeters long, 9.0 centimeters wide and 2.0 centimeters high. It is an external accessory powered through the server connection.

Link the module to the switch with a Cat5/5e/6 UTP cable up to 150 feet, then plug the dual USB and HDMI cables into the server; the step often missed is seating both USB connectors firmly so virtual media is recognised at BIOS level.
The module has no moving parts or user-serviceable components; plan only to replace the Cat5/5e/6 patch cable or the USB/HDMI leads if they show physical wear or signal degradation.
The 150-foot UTP cable length is the primary constraint; beyond that distance the link to the Dominion KX II switch becomes unreliable.
