Replacement AC adapter for Toshiba Satellite

This 19V 2.37A 45W AC adapter replaces a lost or faulty original charger for many Toshiba Satellite models. It supplies DC 19V at 2.37A from an AC 100-240V 50-60Hz input. The unit includes a power cord and is sold new as a direct replacement part.

Upgrading from a damaged or missing charger

The adapter restores charging when the original unit fails, is lost, or shows physical cable damage. Built-in overload, over-voltage and short-circuit protection helps safeguard the notebook during use. The jump is worth it whenever the existing supply no longer delivers reliable 45W output.

Simple plug-in installation

Connect the DC plug to the laptop and the IEC cord to a wall socket; no drivers or configuration are required. The wide 100-240V input range suits travel without a voltage converter. The main risk is selecting a model whose tip polarity or connector size does not match the specific Satellite variant.

Questions about this item

What connector does this adapter use to fit my Toshiba Satellite laptop?

The adapter supplies 19 V at 2.37 A through a standard barrel tip that matches the DC-in jack on the listed Satellite models.

How do I install the charger, and what step do people often miss?

Plug the AC cord into a 100–240 V wall outlet, then connect the DC barrel plug firmly into the laptop; the step often missed is seating the barrel plug fully until it clicks.

When will I need to replace the power cord or the adapter itself?

Replace the cord if the insulation cracks or the plug loosens; replace the adapter if it no longer delivers 19 V 2.37 A or the built-in overload, over-voltage, or short-circuit protection trips repeatedly.
