Stand-out streaming headset with kitty ears

The Razer Kraken Kitty V2 USB is a wired gaming headset built for creators who want a distinctive on-camera look. It connects via USB Type A and features 40 mm TriForce drivers that deliver 7.1 surround sound on Windows 10 64-bit. The signature kitty ears and earcups use Razer Chroma RGB with 16.8 million colours and stream-reactive lighting that responds to emotes and alerts. A HyperClear cardioid microphone captures voice clearly while rejecting off-axis noise.

Hybrid fabric and leatherette ear cushions

The around-ear design uses circular earpads combining fabric and leatherette materials to provide comfort during extended streaming or gaming sessions. This construction also delivers sound isolation for immersive audio. The 6.56 ft cable terminates in a single USB connector, simplifying the connection to a PC without separate audio jacks. The headset weighs 32 ohm impedance and 92.5 decibels sensitivity for both drivers and microphone, ensuring consistent volume levels.

Check Windows version

The 7.1 surround sound feature is only available on Windows 10 64-bit, so verify your operating system if positional audio is a priority. Ensure a free USB Type A port is available for the wired connection. The cardioid microphone is fixed in position, so confirm the boom placement suits your preferred speaking distance. Bluetooth is listed as a wireless type in specifications, but the primary connection method detailed is wired USB.

Questions about this item

What does the USB Type-A connection cap in practice?

The wired USB Type-A link carries digital audio and powers the Chroma RGB lighting, with 7.1 surround processing handled by Windows 10 64-bit software.

How much desk clearance do the kitty ears and 6.56 ft cable need?

The fixed kitty ears add height above the headband, and the 6.56 ft USB cable requires a clear path to a Type-A port without strain.

How is the HyperClear cardioid mic attached and positioned correctly?

The microphone is built into the left earcup; bend the flexible boom so the tip sits near the corner of your mouth for the tuned pickup zone.
