Low-Profile Linear Optical Switches

The Razer DeathStalker V2 is a full-size gaming keyboard built around low-profile linear optical switches with a 70 million keystroke lifespan. Its ultra-slim casing and 5052 aluminium top plate keep hands in a neutral position during extended sessions. Chroma RGB backlighting offers 16.8 million colours per key. A detachable Type-C cable connects via USB 2.0.

USB 2.0 Port and Synapse Software

Verify that your system has a free USB 2.0 port for the detachable Type-C cable. Razer Synapse software is required to reprogramme keys, record on-the-fly macros, adjust Chroma effects and configure the multi-function roller and media button. No palm rest is included, so confirm your desk setup suits a low-profile board without one.

70 Million Keystroke Lifespan

The optical switches maintain consistent actuation without physical contact wear, so response stays uniform across long gaming marathons. The aluminium top plate resists flex when keys are held down repeatedly, and the laser-etched coating prevents legend fade under heavy daily use. N-key rollover ensures every press registers even during sustained multi-key input.

Questions about this item

Does the box include a wrist rest or do I need to buy one separately?

No palm rest is included with the DeathStalker V2; the low-profile design is intended for neutral hand positioning without one, so a separate wrist rest must be purchased if desired.

What is the difference between the linear and clicky low-profile optical switches offered for this model?

The linear variant uses Razer Low-Profile Optical Switches with smooth, silent keystrokes and a shorter actuation height, while the clicky version adds a tactile bump and audible click for feedback.

How does the 70-million keystroke lifespan translate to daily gaming use?

The 70-million keystroke rating means each key is engineered to withstand tens of millions of presses, providing reliable performance over years of intensive gaming sessions.
