Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Distributed Computing

This software application license provides Red Hat Enterprise Linux tailored for distributed computing on edge servers. It covers both physical and virtual nodes under a premium support tier. The product is identified by part number RH00814 and was first listed by the manufacturer in 2023. It is supplied in new condition.

Organisations running edge workloads on Red Hat

This license suits teams that need a supported, premium-grade operating system for distributed edge deployments across physical and virtual nodes. It is not intended for buyers who require a standard server subscription without the distributed computing entitlement, or for those seeking a basic self-support license without premium service-level agreements.

Premium support for distributed edge nodes

The license delivers capacity for managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux across distributed edge environments with physical and virtual nodes. Premium support includes access to updates, security patches, and technical assistance. Headroom is defined by the number of nodes covered under the specific subscription terms purchased.

Questions about this item

What infrastructure must I already have to run Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Distributed Computing on edge servers?

You need physical or virtual edge server nodes that meet the base Red Hat Enterprise Linux hardware requirements for CPU, memory and storage.

Will this subscription cover my existing Red Hat Enterprise Linux hosts if I add them as edge nodes?

Yes, the licence applies to both physical and virtual nodes, so current RHEL systems can be registered as edge servers under the same subscription.

How can I verify the subscription is active on a node after registration?

Run subscription-manager status on the node; it will show the RH00814 entitlement as Current with a valid start date in 2023.
