Unlocked 5G phone for T-Mobile MVNOs

The Redmi Poco X8 Pro 5G is an unlocked smartphone with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. It operates on T-Mobile, Mint Mobile and Tello networks inside the USA and on any GSM carrier abroad. Dual SIM support is included without a microSD slot.

Upgrade from a device without 120 Hz AMOLED

This model replaces a handset that lacks a 6.59 inch 1.5K AMOLED panel running at up to 120 Hz with 3500 nits peak brightness and an 8,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The jump is worth it when you want smoother motion and much higher outdoor visibility.

Check carrier compatibility and charging gear

Verify that your active SIM works on T-Mobile bands such as n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n26, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n71, n77 and n78 before ordering. The box provides 100 W HyperCharge via USB Type-C and up to 27 W reverse charging with PD 3.0 support.

Questions about this item

The tray takes two nano-SIM cards; there is no micro-SD slot.

After inserting an activated T-Mobile-based SIM, what network setting must be enabled for 5G SA on band n78?

Enable 5G Standalone mode in the mobile-network menu so the Dimensity 8500-Ultra modem can register on n78.

How often should the USB-C port be cleaned to keep 100 W HyperCharge working reliably?

Blow out lint monthly; debris in the port can throttle the 100 W charge rate.
