Compact stereo speaker for desktop use

The Redragon GS550 Orpheus is a 2.0 channel speaker system designed for PC, laptop and TV audio. Each satellite delivers 6 watts RMS from a dynamic driver with a 20 KHz frequency response. The compact form factor lets you place the units on either side of a monitor or merge them into a single sound bar underneath.

Touch control and dual cable connectivity

A touch-sensitive remote provides power and volume adjustment without a separate handset. The system draws 5 volt power from USB while audio travels over a 3.5 mm cable, and a 3.5 mm microphone pass-through is included for headset use. The inter-speaker cable reaches 31 in (80 cm) for flexible positioning.

Check power and audio ports before ordering

Your device must supply a USB port for power and a 3.5 mm audio output simultaneously; both cables must be connected for sound. For PlayStation 4 or 5 the speakers only work when plugged into the controller’s 3.5 mm jack. Buyers who need wireless streaming, a separate subwoofer or surround sound should consider other options.

Questions about this item

Will the USB power cable or 3.5 mm audio plug need replacing after long daily use?

The speakers draw 5 V over USB and send audio through a 3.5 mm jack; both cables are fixed, so a damaged cord means the whole unit must be serviced.

What stops the GS550 from playing louder during a marathon gaming session?

Total output is capped at 6 watts RMS per channel, so the amplifier hits its limit before thermal protection would.

How warm does the sound bar get and is there any fan noise when it runs all day?

No fan is fitted; the 5 V USB supply keeps heat low and the touch volume control stays silent during continuous operation.
