What the TB 01 balances

The Reelcraft TB 01 is a tool balancer built for loads from 0.0 to 1.5 lb. A 6 ft zinc-plated steel cable runs from a composite housing that mounts with a swivel hook. The snap-hook attachment and included cable stop and safety clip keep the tool secure while the non-locking spring lets the cable travel freely.

What the bundled accessories change

The cable stop prevents the tool from retracting fully into the housing, and the safety clip adds a secondary connection point to the snap hook. Together they reduce the chance of an accidental drop without adding a locking mechanism or shock absorption.

Capacity and headroom

The balancer handles any tool that weighs up to 1.5 lb, covering lightweight drivers, small pneumatic tools and similar hand-held items. It reaches its limit at 1.5 lb, so heavier equipment will not be supported and a higher-capacity balancer would be required.

Questions about this item

How often should the zinc-plated steel cable be inspected or replaced?

Inspect the 6 ft zinc-plated steel cable regularly for fraying or corrosion; replace it if wear is visible to maintain safe operation.

What limits continuous use of the 1.5 lb capacity spring?

The non-locking spring balances tools up to 1.5 lb continuously; exceeding this weight will cause the cable to extend without support.

Does the composite housing get hot or make noise during all-day operation?

The passive spring mechanism produces minimal mechanical noise and no heat during constant use.
