Two 12V12A batteries for Altronix systems

This kit supplies two sealed lead-acid batteries rated at 12 volts and 12 ampere-hours each. They are built as direct replacements for the Altronix AL400ULXPD16CB cartridge used in security and access-control panels. Installers can swap the pair without rewiring the existing enclosure.

High-rate discharge chemistry limits runtime

The cells are optimised for short, high-current bursts rather than sustained low-current drain. Under continuous maximum draw the available capacity drops noticeably below the rated figure. Buyers who need extended backup during prolonged outages should verify the panel’s actual current profile before relying on this kit alone.

Questions about this item

Should I order the 12 V 12 A two-pack or a single battery for my Altronix AL400ULXPD16CB?

The kit supplies two matched 12 V 12 A units, which is the exact quantity the AL400ULXPD16CB requires for full runtime.

What runtime does the 12 V 12 A rating deliver once installed in the AL400ULXPD16CB?

Each 12 V 12 A cell provides the rated capacity the security panel expects, so the system achieves its specified backup duration when both are fitted.
