Electric Arc Lighter

The REIDEA R1 Pro is a windproof, flameless lighter that uses a high-frequency electric arc instead of a traditional flame. It is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery and features a safety lock plus an on/off switch to prevent accidental ignition. The lighter measures 16 cm in length and comes in a rose gold finish as a two-pack.

Outdoor Users And Home Lighting

This lighter suits people who need reliable ignition for candles, barbecues or fireworks in breezy conditions where a flame would blow out. It is not intended for buyers who require a visible flame for tasks such as lighting pipes, cigars or camp stoves that need direct fire contact. The auto-off feature after ten seconds also limits continuous use.

Sustained Use Behaviour

Each ignition cycle runs for up to seven seconds before the arc stops automatically, and the button must be slid again to restart it. A full charge delivers over 80 uses and the battery can be recharged more than 300 times, so the lighter handles repeated daily sessions without needing frequent top-ups.

Questions about this item

What power source must I have available to recharge the R1 Pro's built-in battery?

The lighter recharges via a standard USB connection, so you need access to a USB port or USB wall adapter to replenish the battery.

Will the arc still ignite reliably if I keep using a traditional butane lighter for some tasks?

Yes, the windproof electric arc operates independently of any fuel-based lighter and remains unaffected by wind or weather conditions.

How can I confirm the safety lock is engaged after I finish lighting a candle?

The power indicator light turns off automatically when the safety switch is slid to the off position, showing the arc cannot fire.
