Product Identity

The Renfroe LJ-00.50-A is a steel plate clamp rated for a working load limit of 1000 lb. It handles vertical and horizontal lifts with a jaw range of 0 to 3/4 in and a 2 1/4 in load ring attachment.

Suitable Users

This clamp suits crews moving individual steel plates up to 3/4 in thick where a manual open, manual close with lock action is acceptable. It is not for operations needing a larger jaw spread or a higher working load limit than 1000 lb.

Build Integration

The compact 10 1/4 in height and 5 in depth fit into tight rigging spaces without adding bulk. The manual lock frees the operator from external power or hydraulic connections on the job site.

Questions about this item

What lifting equipment is required to attach to the 2 1/4 in load ring on this clamp?

A hoist or crane hook that fits a 2 1/4 in diameter ring is needed to connect the clamp for vertical or horizontal lifts.

Will the 3/4 in maximum jaw opening grip thinner plates I already have in stock?

Yes, the clamp adjusts from 0 to 3/4 in so it will hold any plate thickness within that range.

How can I confirm the 1,000 lb working load limit is being respected during a lift?

Verify the plate weight does not exceed 1,000 lb and that the clamp teeth engage fully before raising the load.
