Compact Outdoor Cord Cover

The Restmo O-ECC-2 is a two-pack of compact outdoor cord covers rated IP44 for water and dust resistance. Each unit measures 7.1 by 2.3 by 2.3 inches and is built from reinforced polypropylene with a brown finish. It is designed for homeowners and decorators who need to protect outdoor electrical connections from rain, snow and dirt.

Replaces Open-Air Connections

This cover replaces exposed plug junctions or makeshift plastic bags used for holiday lights, landscape lighting, pool pumps and garden tools. The upgrade is worth it when a connection sits where water, snow or debris can reach it, or when a secure, lockable seal is required for safety compliance. The dual cable clamps accept 18 to 14 AWG cord, flat cable and braided wire, securing the connection against accidental disconnection.

Fits Into Any Outdoor Setup

The screw-in design includes two mounting holes and two cable ties, allowing the box to be fixed to walls, posts or eaves without additional hardware. Four lockable latches and rubber-sealed entry ports create a watertight enclosure that opens easily for access. The compact footprint frees up space in tight corners while the UV-resistant housing withstands prolonged sun exposure.

Questions about this item

How much wall space do the 7.1 x 2.3 inch covers need for the two mounting holes?

Each cover measures 7.1 by 2.3 inches overall; the two mounting holes sit inside that footprint, so allow at least that rectangle plus a few millimetres for screw heads.

Which step do people skip when sealing the IP44 box?

They often forget to seat both rubber seals around the cables before snapping the four latches; without the seals the IP44 rating is lost.

When should the rubber seals on the two entry ports be replaced?

Replace them when they crack, flatten or no longer grip 18 to 14 AWG cords tightly, otherwise water can enter the enclosure.
