Retractable 50 ft Cord Reel

This 50-foot retractable extension cord reel uses 14AWG SJTOW cable rated for 13 amps at 125 volts. It supplies three grounded outlets with a lighted indicator for visibility in dim areas. The unit mounts on a 180-degree swivel bracket for wall or ceiling installation. An automatic guide mechanism rewinds the cord smoothly and locks it at any length.

Capacity and Circuit Protection

The reel delivers up to 1625 watts through its triple tap, suitable for common workshop tools and lighting. A built-in 13-amp circuit breaker cuts power automatically when total draw exceeds the limit and resets with a push button. The 4.5-foot lead-in cord connects the reel to the mains supply. Indoor or dry-location use only is specified by the manufacturer.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The SJTOW jacket resists oil, water, UV, ozone and acid while staying flexible in low temperatures. No cooling fan is present, so operation is silent. Power draw depends entirely on the connected devices up to the 13-amp rating. The polypropylene housing measures 14 by 12 by 6 inches and weighs 13 pounds.

Questions about this item

Will the 14AWG cord on this reel handle the same 13 A load as my existing 12AWG leads?

The reel is rated 13 A at 125 V (1625 W) through its 14AWG/3C SJTOW cord, so it will deliver the same current limit as any 13 A circuit you already use.

How do I confirm the built‑in 13 A breaker and lighted triple‑tap are functioning after mounting?

Plug in a known load, verify the outlet indicator lights, then press the reset button; if power restores, the breaker and indicators are working.

Does the HCRA50A ship with the 180° swivel bracket and adjustable stopper, or must I buy them separately?

The reel includes the 180° swivel mounting bracket and an adjustable stopper in the box; no extra parts are required for wall or ceiling installation.
