Scale and Subject

This 1/25 scale plastic kit reproduces the Surfer Boy Pizza Vanagon from the Stranger Things TV series. The box contains 90 parts molded in beige and gray with chrome-plated accents and soft black tires. Assembly requires paint and cement, which are not included, and results in a model measuring approximately 7.25 inches long, 3.5 inches wide and 4.25 inches high. Officially licensed packaging uses vintage-style artwork.

Level and Missing Supplies

The kit is rated Level 3, making it suitable for adult hobbyists with some modelling experience who enjoy detailed TV-replica builds. Builders who want a snap-together kit or a finished die-cast replica should look elsewhere, as this version demands glue, paint and patience. Collectors seeking a pre-assembled display piece will also need a different product.

Deciding Feature

The removable roof reveals a detailed interior complete with a crochet blanket and pizza delivery bag, while the movable side door slides open and the rear hatch can be posed open or closed. A multi-piece horizontally opposed 2.0-litre four-cylinder rear-mounted engine adds mechanical interest beneath the bodywork. These scene-specific details confirm whether the kit matches the display scene you have in mind.

Questions about this item

Will the 1/25 scale Vanagon match the size of my other 1/25 scale model vans?

Yes, the kit builds to a 1/25 scale, so it will be consistent with any other 1/25 scale vehicles you own.

How can I confirm the engine and interior details are correctly assembled after I finish the build?

Check that the multi-piece 2.0-litre horizontally opposed four-cylinder rear engine is fully seated, the removable roof lifts cleanly to show the detailed interior, and the side door slides while the rear hatch stays open or closed as posed.

Which items in the box need paint or cement, and what must I buy separately to complete the model?

All 90 parts moulded in beige and grey require paint and cement, which are not included; the kit supplies chrome-plated small parts, soft black tyres and colourful decals, so you only need to purchase modelling paint and plastic cement.
